Answers to frequently asked questions and a couple bonus facts

A note about COVID-19 compliance.

I do my best to adhere to all COVID compliance guidelines and rules. I get regularly tested and am a proponent of proper PPE usage and do everything possible to keep myself, my clients, and fellow crew members safe.

All gear is sanitized or quarantined before and after every shoot.

What is location sound?

Location sound is audio recorded in collaboration with video for commercials, online content, television, and films.

Do you have your own gear? What kind of gear?

I do have my own kit.

I have a variety of gear for different audio situations that arise. I keep an updated list on my Gear page.

Given enough lead time and budget I am also happy to arrange rental through Trew Audio or another source for any additional audio gear your shoot might require.

What kinds of shoots have you done?

I’ve done everything from commercials to documentary to narrative pieces for shorts, mini series, and beyond. I’ve also done corporate work and talk show styled broadcast and canned pieces.

Are you prepared for international shoots?

Yes I am! I have a valid passport and love traveling anywhere I can.

What do you do when you aren’t working?

A variety of things. I’m a huge coffee and food nerd and my wife and I love to travel. I’m also an amateur woodworker and am currently renovating my house so that takes up a lot of my free time. If you’d like some coffee recommendations for Nashville or anywhere else I’ve spent time I’d be happy to give you those.

How tall are you?

I believe I can safely say I’m the tallest location sound mixer in Nashville, clocking in at 6’6”. It really helps when it comes to keeping the boom out of the wide shots!
